Kim obtained her personal training certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine at the age of 40. Her passion for fitness also led her to pursue bodybuilding competitions, where she placed 1st in NYC's Regional Natural Bikini Show in the Over 40's category. Kim also completed a coaching certificate course in the Trauma-Informed Weight Lifting program.
She integrated her personal experiences, along with her credentials and education in fitness, into her MINDBODY TRANSFORMATION PROGRAM.
Kim decided to transform her body after facing prolonged depression, the challenges of solo parenting in New York City, and physical issues like carpal tunnel and postpartum hip pain.
While working with personal trainers helped her feel more confident in the gym, many didn’t fully understand the female body. It wasn’t until Kim took control of her nutrition and made key lifestyle changes that she began to see real, lasting results—and gained the knowledge and experience she now shares with other women.
Kim wasn’t into boot camp, HIIT, or circuit training. After HIIT sessions, she often felt exhausted for days and wanted a more sustainable, tempo-focused approach she could continue without risking injury.
Her program emphasizes Time Under Tension, which carefully controls the tempo of each movement. It includes a personalized workout plan, meal and water recommendations, and lifestyle tips—because real transformation only happens when all these elements are integrated into daily life.
Kim’s initial motivation was her children—she wanted the strength and energy to care for them and be a resilient, strong role model. Her first goal was simply to meet the everyday demands of raising young children.
As she stayed consistent with workouts and dietary changes, Kim was inspired to learn more. She earned a personal training certification and, with one son being neurodivergent, pursued Trauma-Informed Weightlifting Coaching. Through this journey, she discovered how strength training and a healthy lifestyle can heal from the inside out.
When Kim first started at the gym, she felt overwhelmed and afraid of injury. Trainers showed her machines and exercises, but no one taught the essential foundations: proper breathing, controlling tempo and tension, or preparing the body to prevent injury.
Over time, Kim learned to train smarter, not just harder. She discovered that lifting with intention, proper technique, and awareness—not just heavier weights—was key. She also realized that generic online workouts can’t transform a body without these deeper methods.
Kim lives a balanced, sustainable lifestyle. She enjoys nutritious meals, embraces the occasional (or frequent!) indulgence, and has found a way to maintain a strong, healthy physique in her 40s without extreme dieting or burnout.
