Kim obtained her personal training certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine at the age of 40. Her passion for fitness also led her to pursue bodybuilding competitions, where she placed 1st in NYC's Regional Natural Bikini Show in the Over 40's category. Kim also completed a coaching certificate course in the Trauma-Informed Weight Lifting program.
She integrated her personal experiences, along with her credentials and education in fitness, into her MINDBODY TRANSFORMATION PROGRAM.
Kim decided to transform her body after experiencing prolonged depression from traumatic past experiences, as well as the feeling of depletion from being a solo parent in NYC. After having her first and second child, Kim also suffered from carpal tunnel syndrome and postpartum hip pain for years.
She worked with personal trainers for a while at first. Working with trainers helped her feel less intimidated by the gym environment and weight training. However, she didn’t see real results until she implemented nutrition and lifestyle changes on her own.
Kim wasn't into boot camp-style training, HIT, or circuit training at all. After a HIT session, she often felt too exhausted the next day and had to rest for two or three days after. She wanted something more sustainable and tempo-focused—something she could continue without risking injury from fast-paced movements.
Her program places a strong emphasis on the Time Under Tension method, which fundamentally manipulates the tempo of each workout movement. The program consists of a workout plan tailored to each individual, meal and water intake recommendations, and tips for lifestyle changes. Without all of these elements synthesized into your daily life, transformation cannot happen!

As a Trauma-Informed Weight Lifting Coach, I am trained to understand and support clients who have experienced trauma, ensuring a safe, empathetic, and empowering environment during weight lifting sessions. This certification allows me to tailor training programs that prioritize mental and emotional well-being while fostering strength, resilience, and recovery.
As CPR and AED Certified, I am trained to respond effectively to cardiac emergencies, ensuring that I can provide life-saving assistance if needed during training or in any emergency situation. This certification equips me with the skills to recognize and act quickly in critical situations, prioritizing your safety and well-being.
